Live Music
Looking for live music for your venue, special event, or private party? We are available as the father-daughter duo The Cold North or as the solo act Lee Jones. We’ve played hundreds of shows at dozens of venues and events, and we run a fun, friendly, audience-engaged show that is sure to please!
The extensive, diverse song lists we hand out allow the audience to make requests and drive the show. We bring everything we need to perform – all you need to provide is a power outlet. We typically play a 2-5 hour show with 3 hours being the standard, but we are more than willing to play longer or shorter events.

Open Mic/Karaoke
Hosting an open mic or karaoke event at your venue can be an excellent way to increase traffic and revenue, especially during the slower mid-week days. At Lee Jones Music, we have a proven track record of success hosting and promoting open mic events such as the popular and well-regarded twice-monthly open mic at Eavesdrop Brewery.
For karaoke, we have nearly 50,000 song titles and an easy-to-use smartphone selection process that have made our dozens of events a hit with patrons. We keep everything fun, friendly, and supportive for all involved.

Ukulele and Guitar Lessons
Have you always wanted to play guitar or uke? Have a child that wants to learn? Try some lessons and see what you think! Our focus is on people who want to learn to play over learning sheet music. Our chord-based strategy will have anyone playing songs they like quickly and with confidence. It’s never too late or too early to learn! We recommend children start with ukuleles due to their ease-of-play and low entry cost before moving to guitar (if they wish).
Lee is a seasoned musician with plenty of experience teaching (he often works as a Fairfax County elementary school substitute music teacher). Single and group lessons are available in-home, off-site, or virtually (we recommend starting with a few in-person lessons). Call or email us for more information.
Assisted Living/Memory Care
It is well known that listening to and performing music can help stimulate areas of the brain associated with memory, reasoning, speech, emotion, and reward. We can provide a friendly, entertaining, and interactive musical experience for your residents that encourages them to join the fun! Whether you are looking for a general performance or music for a themed event, we’ll work with you to ensure everyone has a good time.
